Subrata Steel & Fabrication

Our shop is tucked away in Ward No. 40 on Nabojito Sarani. It's a busy little pocket of the neighborhood. If you walk down the street, you will probably hear us before you see us because the machines make a fair bit of noise when we are working on a project. Subrata Steel & Fabrication has been sitting here for a good while now. The street can be narrow, so when we have a lot of materials being delivered, it gets a bit crowded out front. We try to keep things organized, but in a fabrication shop, there is always some scrap or some tools sitting out on the benches. It is just the way we work. People from around the ward stop by sometimes just to say hello or ask about a small job they need doing for their house. We don't have a big office or anything like that, just the main floor where all the cutting and welding happens. Nabojito Sarani has changed a bit over the years, with more buildings going up, but our routine stays pretty much the same. We start early when it's a bit cooler and try to get the heavy stuff finished before the afternoon heat really kicks in. It is honest work and we are just regular people trying to do a decent job with the steel we have. Most days are long but we like being part of this local area. It's a simple life where we make things that actually get used around the city.
