Shikhar Enterprise

Shikhar Enterprise is right on Station Road in Barakar. Being so close to the station means there is always a crowd of people moving back and forth. You hear the trains coming in and the whistles blowing all through the day. It’s a very busy part of town and there is never a dull moment. Our shop is just one of many along this stretch. We’ve been here for a long time and have seen the street change as new buildings went up. When the monsoon hits, the road gets quite muddy and slow, but life goes on. The space we have is small and filled with stuff we’ve collected over the years. It’s a bit messy but we know where everything is. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us who handle everything. Station Road is the heart of Barakar so it’s very convenient for getting supplies or catching a ride. The noise can be a lot sometimes but you get used to it after a week. We spend most of our time talking to people who drop by or just watching the street life. It’s a very grounded way to work. We don't use any fancy technology, just the basics to keep things moving. It’s a simple operation and we are just another part of the local scene here.
