S.G Engineering Enterprise

We operate out of the Burdwan district in West Bengal. It is a place where the green of the fields meets the dusty roads of the industrial zones. Engineering in a place like this means you have to be resourceful and patient. We don't have the same quick access to parts that you might have in a city like Kolkata, so we have to plan ahead. Our workshop is a functional space where we deal with various mechanical and structural tasks. The humidity here can be quite something, especially during the monsoon months when everything feels damp. We have a small crew of workers who have been with us for years and they know the machines better than anyone. We aren't interested in being a huge corporation; we just want to make sure the work we do is solid and that we can pay our bills at the end of the month. The pace of life in Burdwan is a bit slower, which we appreciate. You can usually find us at the shop from early morning, drinking a cup of tea before the real work begins. We have seen a lot of changes in the local area, but engineering basics stay the same. It takes a lot of sweat and sometimes a bit of frustration when a job doesn't go quite right, but we always figure it out. It’s a local enterprise through and through, and we are proud to be part of the community here.
