Pravashchandra Agro Products is based out in Jamalpur village. We are in the Purba Bardhaman district, which is a place where you see fields everywhere you look. The office is right there in the village near the local police station and post office. It is a quiet place compared to the big cities, but during harvest time, it gets very busy with farmers and tractors moving around. We work out of a plain building that is mostly used for storage and keeping track of the agro products we handle. There is a lot of dust from the grains and the roads are mostly narrow lanes. We don't really have a set routine because everything depends on the season and the weather. If it rains too much, things slow down. If the sun is out, everyone is working hard. We know almost everyone in the village and they know us. Most of the people working here grew up in this area, so we understand how things work on the ground. We have a few wooden tables, some plastic chairs, and a lot of registers to keep track of what comes in and what goes out. It is hard work and your clothes usually get dirty by the end of the day. We just focus on getting the products packed and moved to the next town over without making any big fuss.
