We are based in Guskara, in the Sanhatipally area of Burdwan. It’s a village and post office setup that suits us just fine. Being out here in West Bengal means we’re away from the rush of the big cities like Kolkata. Mcnally Bharat Eng. is a small part of the local scene here. Our office at 713128 is a simple building where we manage our engineering projects. We don't have anything fancy inside. It’s just desks, some old chairs, and a lot of technical drawings scattered around. Most of the people who work here are from the nearby villages. We know each other’s families and we look out for one another. The work we do is practical and hands-on. We spend a lot of time visiting project sites around the district. Sometimes the roads aren't great, especially when the monsoon hits, but we always find a way to get there. We aren't interested in sounding like a big corporation. We’re just regular people doing engineering work. We have a tea break every afternoon where we just sit and talk about anything but work. It’s a good way to stay sane when things get busy. Guskara is a quiet place, but there’s always something to be done. We’ve been here for years and we don't see ourselves going anywhere else. It’s home, and it’s where we do our work without any fuss. Usually, the village is quiet enough that we can think clearly about the jobs we have to finish. It's a nice life.
