Azadhind Rice Mill

Azadhind Rice Mill is located out in the village of Krishnapur. It’s part of the Jubila area and comes under the Khandaghosh police station in the district. Since we are in a rural spot, we are surrounded by fields, which makes sense for a rice mill. We spend our days processing the grain that comes in from the local farmers. The mill itself is a noisy place when the engines are running, but it’s a sound we like to hear because it means work is getting done. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that; it’s just the mill floor and the storage rooms. The weather really affects what we do out here in Krishnapur. If it’s raining, we have to be careful with the drying process. Most of our workers are from the nearby villages and they’ve been doing this kind of work for years. We don’t use any fancy talk to describe what we do. We just mill the rice and stack the bags. Sometimes the roads get a bit muddy after a heavy storm, making it hard for the tractors to get through, but we manage somehow. It’s a very practical, down-to-earth business. We’ve been a part of this community for a long time and we just stick to the basics of milling. It’s a lot of manual labor, but it keeps things moving.
