Ausgram Agro Producer Company Limited

Down in Vill-Bhuera, we are right in the heart of the Burdwan district, which everyone knows is the main place for farming around here. Ausgram Agro started because we wanted to have a producer company that actually belongs to the local people in the village. Our spot is at number 02 in Bhuera, and it is a very quiet place most of the time, except during the harvest. Then, everyone is out in the fields from sunrise to sunset. We are a producer company, so it’s all about the farmers here coming together to share resources and sell our crops as a group. Burdwan has really good soil for rice, and that is a lot of what we deal with. We have a small office where we keep the records and meet up to talk about the season. It is not very fancy, just some desks and some old fans to keep us cool in the summer heat. We have to deal with the local weather, which can be very unpredictable. Sometimes we worry about the rain not coming on time or the prices dropping at the market. But being part of a group makes those worries a little easier to handle. We are just local people who know about farming and want to keep our village going. It’s not a complicated life, but it’s a busy one.
