Annapurna Rice Mills

Annapurna Rice Mills is located right on Rajla Road. If you are driving by, you probably won’t miss the big gates and the smell of grain in the air. We have been working out of this location for a long time. It isn't a very large operation, but we keep ourselves busy enough. Most of our days are spent watching the trucks come and go. When it is peak season, we are here from early morning until long after dark. It is a lot of standing around and making sure the machinery is doing its job right. We don't have any corporate offices or polished managers. It is just a few of us who know the equipment. We deal with the local rice and try to get it processed without too much fuss. Sometimes the power cuts out and we just have to sit and wait, which can be a bit of a pain. My boots are usually full of husks by the end of the shift. We don't use any fancy talk or marketing tricks here. We just run the mill and try to keep the place somewhat organized, though it's hard with all the dust. People around here know us well. We just do the work and go home to our families. It is a simple way of living and we are okay with that. We have grown up around these fields, so we understand the rhythm of the crop.
