Amin Rice Mill

Amin Rice Mill is located out in Pursa, right on the Paraj Station Road. It’s a quiet enough place compared to the big cities, but when the mill is running, it’s anything but silent. Being so close to the station road means we hear the trains going by, which kind of blends in with the hum of our own machines. We’ve been in Pursa for a long time. The building itself has seen better days, maybe, but it’s solid and does the job it was meant to do. We don't have any big signs or advertisements. People in the area just know where we are. We spend most of our time out on the floor, making sure the grain is moving through the pipes correctly. It’s a lot of checking and double-checking. The heat in the summer gets pretty intense under the tin roof, but we just keep the fans going and carry on. There isn't any fancy talk here. We just call things what they are. Paraj Station Road is a familiar path for the farmers who bring their harvest to us. We talk about the weather and the crops while we work. It’s just Amin Rice Mill, a small part of the life here in Pursa. We aren't trying to change the world; we are just trying to mill rice properly and get it ready for the local families and shops. It’s practical, everyday work for us. Every day we open up the shutters and start the process again. It’s a routine that keeps us grounded.
