World Of Stones

Down in Shivaji Nagar, over at Vill Panhor 1187/10, that’s where you’ll find our stone yard. We deal with all sorts of rocks and slabs for building or just for making a garden look okay. It’s dusty work, honestly. We spend the day moving heavy pieces around and making sure things aren't cracked. People come by looking for something specific for their floors or maybe a wall they're putting up. We don't have a big showroom or anything, just the yard where the stock sits out in the sun. Some of the stones are rough and some are cut a bit smoother. It depends on what the trucks bring in that week from the quarries. My family has been around this area for a long time, so we just set up shop here. It’s hard work on the back, but it’s what we do. If you need a few pieces for a small job or a whole truckload, we try to sort it out. The weather affects how much we can get done, especially when it rains and the ground gets muddy and slippery. We have some marble and granite, plus some local stones that are sturdier for outdoor paths. It’s just us here most days, cutting and loading. Nothing too complicated about it, just stone and grit. We've been doing this for years and know the materials well.
