Finding us at Stome India Company is pretty easy if you know the Old Mumbai - Pune Highway. We are right near the Wireless Tower in Wadagaon Maval. It’s a busy area with lots of trucks and cars going past all the time. Being out here means we have some space for the stone we keep. Most days involve a lot of lifting and moving. We don't really have a front office with air conditioning or anything like that. We just work out of the yard. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we keep at it. People usually stop by because they saw our sign from the road or someone told them we were here. We handle different kinds of stone for all sorts of jobs. It’s not a glamorous business, but it’s necessary. We've seen Wadagaon Maval change a lot over the years, but we’ve stayed right here by the highway. The noise from the road is something you just get used to after a week or so. When you come by, you’ll probably see us covered in a bit of stone dust. That’s just how it goes when you’re working with this material. We don't do much advertising. Most of our work comes from just being around for a long time. If you’re driving down the highway and see the tower, that’s where we are. Just pull in and say hello. We’ll show you what we have in stock.
