Our spot at Budhwar Peth, near Manikabaug on Sinhagad Road, is right in the thick of things. If you know Pune, you know how Sinhagad Road gets during the rush hour. We sit here at Vision Infotech and watch the rain or the sun beat down on the pavement. The office is basically one big room with some partitions we put up ourselves. We’ve got computers lined up along the walls and a bunch of rolling chairs that squeak when you move. It’s not the kind of place where you’d find people in suits. Most of us just wear jeans and old shirts while we work on whatever tech project is on the desk that day. The neighborhood has everything—shops, food stalls, and lots of people moving around. Sometimes the internet acts up because of the trees outside, but we manage. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy brochures. We just do the work and hope people find us useful. There’s a small balcony where we go to get some air when the room gets too stuffy from all the machines running. We’ve had the same calendar on the wall for two years because nobody bothered to change it. It feels like a real place, not some corporate box. We like the local vibe of Manikabaug and how easy it is to grab a snack nearby when we get hungry.
