Vikram Tiles

If you walk down V V Road in Shivaji Nagar, you’ll find us at number 45. We are quite close to the railway station, so you can often hear the trains or the announcements if the wind is blowing the right way. Vikram Tiles is mostly a place of heavy lifting and a lot of dust. Tiles are heavy, and we spend a good chunk of our day moving crates around and showing different patterns to people. The shop has stacks of ceramic and stone everywhere. Sometimes it feels like a maze in here. We’ve got samples leaning against the walls and some laid out on the floor so people can see how they look in the light. It’s not a fancy showroom with air conditioning; it’s more of a practical workspace. We get a lot of contractors and homeowners coming in, usually with mud on their shoes or measuring tapes in their hands. The road outside is always moving, and sometimes it's hard to hear each other over the traffic. We just try to keep things organized, even though the inventory is constantly changing. We’ve been at this Shivaji Nagar location long enough that the neighbors all know us. It’s a straightforward business. We show you the tiles, tell you the price, and help load them up if needed. There’s no big mystery to it. Just a lot of heavy boxes and trying to keep the floor swept. It is hard work but we like it.
