Universal Tools Sales Service is situated at Shop No 16 in the Mahavir Darshan Apartment. We are right in the New Timber Market area at 267-A Bhawani Peth. To find us, you have to look above the Pakwan restaurant on S G Road. It is a very busy spot and the smell of wood from the timber market is always in the air. We are on one of the upper floors, so there are some stairs to climb. The shop is small and packed with all kinds of tools and parts. It is a bit of a squeeze when we have more than two people inside. We spend a lot of time searching through bins for specific screws or bits that customers are looking for. It is a lot of manual work and we get our hands dirty every single day. Being near Pakwan means we always have good food smells drifting up, which makes us hungry before lunchtime. The traffic on S G Road is constant, so there is always a hum of engines and horns. We don't really have a big marketing plan. Most people find us because they were already in the timber market or they saw our sign from the road. We do our own repairs and handle the sales ourselves. It’s a straightforward business. We open the shutters in the morning and close them when the market starts to wind down in the evening. It’s just how we operate here in the apartment.
