Union Biblical Seminary

Union Biblical Seminary has been located here in Bibvewadi for quite a long time. Our address is P O Box 1425, though most people just know where the gates are once they get into the area. It is a quiet spot, which helps when you are trying to study thick books or spend time in prayer. We have a lot of students coming and going throughout the year, some from nearby and others from very far away. The grounds have some old trees that provide decent shade when the sun gets really hot in the afternoons. It’s not a flashy place. Most of the buildings have seen better days, but they do the job just fine. You’ll mostly find people sitting in the library or gathering in small groups under the trees to talk about what they learned in class. The library is actually one of the busiest parts of the seminary, filled with rows of books that have been handled by many hands over the years. We handle all our mail through that P O Box, and the local postman is a regular face around here. Life follows a steady rhythm of classes, meals, and chores. It is pretty simple, really. We don’t spend much time worrying about being modern or fancy. We just focus on the teaching and making sure the students have a place to stay and learn. Sometimes the plumbing acts up or the grass grows too long, but we manage. It feels like a small community tucked away from the main road.
