Tumtam Spices India Private Limited is situated in Pune as well, but we are over in Kondhwa Khurd. Our office is Flat No.B-51-D on the fifth floor of Vazir Cascade, which is at S.No.46. Since we are on the fifth floor, we have a bit of a view of the surrounding buildings. It is a residential complex, so we try to be quiet so we don't bother the neighbors too much. We work with spices. Sometimes you can smell a faint scent of cumin or coriander in the hallway. The office is basically a converted flat. We have our computers in the main room and the back rooms are for storage and packing. Kondhwa is a very lively part of Pune with lots of shops and people around. It is hard to find parking sometimes. We have a small team and we do everything from taking orders to making sure the boxes are taped up properly. It is not a high-tech operation. We use old-fashioned scales and write a lot of things down by hand. The elevator in Vazir Cascade can be a bit moody, so we sometimes have to take the stairs. It keeps us fit, I guess. We are just a small group trying to make a living selling our spices. There is no corporate jargon here, just us and our spice bags, working through the week.
