Tolani Maritime Institute

Our campus is way out in Induri, which is part of the Maval Taluq in Pune. You have to take the Talegaon Chakan Road to get to us. It is a bit of a drive from the main city, but that is how it has to be for a place like Tolani Maritime Institute. We have a lot of space here. Dhiren P. Dave and the rest of the staff are usually busy managing the day-to-day things that come up with having so many students on site. It is a rugged kind of place, surrounded by hills. The weather gets quite nice during the rainy season, though the roads can get a bit muddy. We aren't in a shiny office park. It is a working institute. There is always someone walking across the yard or a truck delivering something to the kitchens. We live and work here, so it feels like a small village. Our focus is on the training, so the buildings are functional and sturdy. People come from all over the country to stay in Induri for their courses. It is a quiet life out here, far away from the malls and the traffic of central Pune. We just keep things running, making sure the cadets have what they need for their studies. It is hard work, but it is honest. You get used to the distance and the local pace after you have been here a few months.
