The Dance Club

The place is located right in Kothrud 1, which is a part of town that never really seems to get quiet. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a while, and it’s become a bit of a second home for those of us who work here. The space itself is simple, just a few rooms where we get things done. We don’t have a big reception desk or anything like that; usually, you just walk in and someone will be there to point you toward the right room. On most afternoons, the sound of music carries out into the hallway, which probably annoys the neighbors a little, but they’ve mostly gotten used to us by now. We spend a lot of our time just cleaning up after classes, picking up stray water bottles or sweeping the floor so it’s not slippery for the next group. It’s a practical setup. We have a couple of benches where parents sit and wait, often scrolling on their phones or chatting while the kids are inside. The lighting is okay, though we’ve been meaning to fix that one flickering bulb in the back for weeks now. It’s just how things go when you’re busy running a local spot. People come here because they know where we are and they know what to expect. We just keep the music playing and make sure there’s enough room for everyone to move around without bumping into each other too much.
