Suswapna Foundation

Suswapna Foundation is based in Kasba Peth, which is one of the oldest and most traditional parts of Pune. We are in Flat 6A of Alok Nagari, at house number 1305. Being in Kasba Peth is interesting because the streets are narrow and there’s so much history around every corner. Our building is a bit more modern than some of the old wadas nearby, but it still feels like the heart of the city. We aren't a big corporation. We’re a foundation, and we work from this flat. It’s got a lived-in feel, with mismatched chairs and piles of stuff we use for our projects. We don't have a professional cleaning crew or a lobby with a flat-screen TV. It’s just a place where we meet and talk about what needs to be done. Sometimes we have volunteers coming in and out, so it can get a bit cramped in the living room area. The 411011 area is always loud with the sounds of the market and people passing by, but we’ve gotten used to it. It’s a very honest place to work. We don't try to hide behind fancy titles or polished brochures. We’re just people in a flat in Pune trying to do some good work. If you come by, you’ll probably find us mid-conversation or busy with some paperwork. It’s just how we operate every day.
