Surya Kitchen Appliances

We are located at number 1 in Dhanshree Apartment, over in Dhayari Mujmahuda. It’s a bit of a residential area, so we get a lot of neighbors coming in just to see what’s new. We sell kitchen appliances, the kind of things people use every day like stoves and mixers. The shop is on the ground floor of the apartment building, which makes it easy for people to just walk in. We don't have any fancy displays. We just put the boxes out so people can see what we have in stock. Sometimes the delivery truck blocks the entrance to the apartments, and we have to go out and apologize to the residents. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes. I’ve been running this place with a helper for a few years. We aren't looking to become some big chain or anything. We just like having a local shop where we know people by name. The lighting in the back of the shop is a bit dim, but we know where everything is. We spend a lot of time explaining how the knobs work or how to clean the filters. It’s just regular stuff. Some days it’s quiet enough that I can read the paper, but usually there is something to fix or move. The street noise doesn't bother us much anymore. You get used to the sounds of the neighborhood after a while. We're just glad to have a roof over our heads and enough work to keep us busy.
