Aquina Appliances

You’ll find us at C/6-2 in the Yogayog Society, which is right in the heart of Bibwewadi. We’ve been running Aquina Appliances from this spot for years. It’s not a big retail store with bright lights and salesmen following you around. It’s more of a local service point. We live and work in the same community, so we see our customers at the grocery store or the park all the time. That changes how you do business. You can’t afford to do a bad job when you’re going to see the person the next day. We handle all sorts of home appliances—fridges, washing machines, that kind of stuff. Most of our work involves going to people’s houses, but we do a lot of the heavy repairs right here in our workshop. The society is a quiet place, and we try not to make too much noise. Our workspace is pretty crowded with tools and spare parts we’ve collected over time. It’s a family-run kind of thing, and we take pride in just being reliable. We don’t have a big fancy website or an app. People usually just call us on the phone or walk over to the society gate and ask for us. It’s an old-fashioned way of doing things, but in a place like Bibwewadi, it’s what people seem to prefer. We’re just glad to be part of the neighborhood.
