Sunny Designer Sofas

We have these shops, numbers 3, 4, and 5, in the Shamboo Mahadeo Trust building. We’re right on the Katraj Kondwa Road. It’s pretty easy to find us because the BJP office is right there nearby. We spend our days making and selling sofas. The showroom is basically just the front of the shop where we put out what we’ve finished. In the back, there’s always the sound of hammers and the smell of wood and glue. We’ve got a few guys who are really good with fabric and stuffing. It’s hard work, especially when we have to move the heavy frames around. People come in and sit on everything to see if it’s comfortable. We don’t mind, that’s what they’re for. Sometimes we get a custom request that takes a lot of figuring out. We just do our best with what the customer asks for. The road outside is always busy with people heading towards Kondwa or Katraj. It gets a bit noisy, but we’re used to it by now. We aren't a big chain or anything. It's just us trying to make furniture that doesn't fall apart after a month. We’ve been at this for a while and most of the locals know where we are. We just keep the doors open and stay busy with the tools. Sometimes we take a long lunch when the weather is nice, but usually, we are working.
