Step Institute

We are located at 507, Narayan Peth in Pune. If you know the area, we are quite close to Patrya Maruti, which is the main landmark everyone uses to find us. Narayan Peth is one of those old parts of the city where the lanes are narrow and there is always something happening. Our building fits right in. Step Institute occupies this space where we spend most of our waking hours. The rooms are a bit cramped sometimes when everyone shows up at once, but we make it work. We have old fans that click a bit when they are on high speed. The walls have a few posters and maps on them. Outside, you can hear the sounds of the city, the bells from the temple, and the bikes zooming past. It’s a lively spot to be in. We don’t really do anything flashy. Most of our day is spent sitting with students or looking over papers at the main table. We drink a lot of chai from the stall around the corner. Sometimes the rain makes the street outside a bit messy, but that’s just Pune for you. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t really notice the noise anymore. It’s a comfortable place for us. We just show up, do what needs to be done, and head home when the streetlights come on. It’s a simple life at the institute and we try to keep things moving along smoothly.
