Starfilm Academy (Opc) Private Limited

We operate out of a flat, D-501, in the Parmar Pavan building right on the Kondhwa Main Road. It is a lively area of Pune, and being on the main road makes it easy for people to find us, even if parking is a bit of a nightmare during the evening rush. Starfilm Academy (Opc) Private Limited is a small setup. Since it is an OPC, it is mostly just one person handling the day-to-day stuff, but we have people coming in to talk about films and acting quite often. The living room is basically our classroom, and we have got some lights and a camera tucked away in the corner for practice. It is not a fancy studio with soundproofing and all that. You can hear the traffic from the road and the neighbors' kids playing in the hallway, but that is just how it is working in a flat. We spend our time working on small projects and teaching whoever is interested about the basics of making a movie. We don't have a big marketing budget or a shiny website. Most people find us by word of mouth or by seeing the name on the directory downstairs. It is a very casual place. If you come by, you might find us watching an old movie or trying to figure out a piece of editing software. We just like movies and wanted to create a little space in Kondhwa where we could talk about them and teach others what we know.
