We’ve been here at 8 Kothrud for quite some time now, just near Gandhi Bhavan. It’s a busy spot but we like it here. Star Stones & Tiles Pvt Ltd isn't some fancy showroom you see in brochures, it’s just us working with what we have. Most days we are busy moving slabs around or helping someone figure out which tile looks okay for their bathroom or kitchen. Sometimes the dust gets everywhere but that's part of the job when you deal with stones. People come in from all over Kothrud asking about different colors or sizes. We don't have a huge sales team, mostly just us answering the phone or talking to whoever walks in. It gets loud when the trucks arrive to unload. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the piles of samples get a bit messy. It’s hard work lifting these things but we've gotten used to it over the years. We stay open until the evening and usually have some tea while finishing the paperwork. If you’re looking for the place, just find Gandhi Bhavan and we are right there. We don't do much advertising, mostly it's just people telling their neighbors about us. It’s a simple setup we have here. We keep it straightforward. Nothing too complicated or fancy. Just a local stone shop doing what we do every day. The weather affects the stone too, so we keep an eye on that. That's about it really. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't.
