Standard Industries

Standard Industries is located at 53 Karve Nagar, right at the 3rd Cross. We are situated directly opposite the Vandevi Mandir, which is a very well-known landmark for anyone living in this part of the city. It is a pretty nice area to work in. Our shop isn’t really that large, but we have managed to fit all the machinery and tools we need into the space over the years. We do a lot of general industrial work, making various parts and helping out with small-scale manufacturing projects for local businesses. There is a real family-run feel to the place, even if we aren’t all actually related to each other. We have known the people in the shops next door for a long time. Our workshop floor is almost always covered in metal shavings or bits of plastic packaging. We don’t spend much time cleaning up until the very end of the week because there is always another job waiting to be started. Most of our tools are a bit older, but they work perfectly for the kind of stuff we handle here. We don’t have a sales team or anyone doing marketing. Usually, the phone just rings and it is a regular customer who has worked with us before. We take a lunch break together and talk about the news or the weather. It is just a straightforward way of making a living. We make sure the parts we produce are solid.
