Spicer Memorial College

This college is situated on Aundh Road, over in the Ganeshkhind area of Pune. It’s a pretty well-known part of town, right near some of the older landmarks and institutions. Pune has that specific feel to it, especially when the weather is nice, and being on Aundh Road means there’s always something happening right outside the gates. The campus has been around for a long time, and you can tell by looking at some of the structures and the way the trees have grown in. It’s quite a large space for a college in this city. Students come from all over, some walking from nearby and others taking the bus or riding their bikes. It’s a busy place with people heading to lectures or just sitting around talking between classes. We don’t really try to be anything other than a college where people come to study and move on with their lives. The hallways are usually full of people and the sound of footsteps on the stone floors. It isn't a shiny new facility, but it has character and serves its purpose for the community. Living and working in Maharashtra, you get used to the rhythm of the academic year. We have our busy times and our quiet times, just like any other place. People know the address well enough, and it’s just a standard part of the Pune education scene, doing what it’s supposed to do every day.
