You can find our shop at Shop No- 1 on Sashwan Road, right near Praveen Electrical in the Gonthale Nagar area. This part of Hadapsar is always changing, with new buildings and shops opening up all the time, but we have stayed put right here. Dealing with ceramics is a heavy job and it takes a toll on you. There is always a lot of lifting and moving heavy tiles or big pots around the floor. The ground is usually covered in a bit of white dust, no matter how much we try to sweep it up every evening. It is just the nature of this kind of business. We keep a good variety of stock in the back room, though it is a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes when a new shipment comes in. People coming from the main road usually spot us because of the different displays we put out on the sidewalk. It is a family-run thing, and we all take turns minding the shop during the day. Some days are very quiet, which gives us some time to count the stock or fix the wobbly shelves. Other days, everyone seems to come in at the exact same time asking for different colors or sizes. We do not use any fancy computer systems here, just a simple notebook and a bit of patience. We know the other shop owners around here pretty well by now and help out when needed.
