Wel Wishers

Our shop is right in Somwar Peth, not far from the 15 August Chowk. It’s a busy part of the city, especially during festival times when the streets are packed with people. Wel Wishers has been here at number 25 for a long time. It’s a modest place. We don't have those big glass windows or bright neon signs you see in the new malls. The shelves are a bit crowded and the lighting is a little dim in the back, but people seem to like the atmosphere. We get all sorts of folks coming in. Some are looking for something specific, and others just want to look around. We know the other shopkeepers on the block quite well. We often share snacks or complain about the traffic together. The building itself is quite old, with thick walls and high ceilings. It stays relatively cool even when it’s baking outside. We don't really follow a strict corporate manual. We just open up in the morning, sweep the front, and see who walks in. Every day is a bit different. Sometimes we spend the whole afternoon just organizing stock that arrived late. It’s a local business run by local people who have lived in this area for most of their lives. We aren't fancy, we just do our daily work in the Peth.
