The clinic is over in the Belbaug Building on the second floor. Laxmi Road is right outside our window. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know it’s always packed with people and cars. Finding a place to park is a real headache, so I usually tell people to take the bus or a rickshaw if they can. We’ve been in this specific spot for quite a while now. The building itself has some history to it. Our space is simple. We have a waiting area with some plastic chairs and a small office. It’s not a shiny medical center with glass walls. We just focus on the skin issues people bring to us. Whether it’s a weird mark or a rash that won’t go away, we take a look. My sister helps me out with the paperwork on her days off. We don’t use a lot of big words or complicated systems. We just write things down and do our job. The stairs up to the second floor are a little steep, so take your time coming up. Laxmi Road is noisy, but we’re used to it by now. We usually close up once the last person is seen. It’s a modest setup, but it works for us and the people who visit. We like being part of the neighborhood here.
