Our little computer center is over at Shop No 13 in Pimpri Colony. It’s a small shop, but we’ve managed to fit in enough workstations for the students to practice. We’ve got a mix of older and newer PCs that we try to keep running smoothly. Most people come here because they want to learn the basics, like how to use office software or just get comfortable with typing and using the internet. Pimpri is a busy area, so there’s always something going on outside our door, and it gets a bit loud. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of clicking mice and keyboards. We don't have a big reception desk or anything fancy. Usually, I’m just sitting at one of the computers fixing a software issue or showing someone how to save a file correctly. The chairs aren't the most ergonomic, but they work for an hour or two of practice sessions. We keep a logbook of who comes in and at what time. It’s a very local operation. If a machine breaks down, we try to fix it ourselves before calling anyone else. We don't promise anyone that they'll become tech geniuses overnight. It’s just a place to pick up some useful skills that might help with a job or school projects. We see a lot of young people, and sometimes older folks who just want to learn how to video call their family. It’s honest work and keeps us connected to the neighborhood.
