Shri Mahavir Tiles & Cement Products

Shri Mahavir Tiles & Cement Products is out in the Bhosari Industrial Estate at 178/2. Being in an industrial zone means there is always a lot of dust and the sound of machinery or heavy trucks moving around. Our place is basically a big warehouse and a small office section. We have rows and rows of tiles stacked up on pallets. Some are plain and some have patterns, but they are all heavy. Then there are the cement bags piled high against the back wall. It’s a physical job, moving things around and loading them up for the transport guys. Shri Mahavir is the name we use, and we’ve been here in Bhosari for quite some time. The office part is very simple, just a desk where the bills are written and a phone that rings quite a bit. We don't have air conditioning, so the big fans are always on during the summer months. Most of the guys working here have been with us for years. We wear old clothes because everything gets covered in cement dust by the end of the shift. There is a small area where we keep our lunch boxes and a water cooler. It’s not a fancy showroom by any means. It’s a place for work, where we handle heavy materials and make sure the orders are ready for pickup. The sun hits the metal roof hard in the afternoon.
