Shivaji University

Shivaji University is sitting right in the middle of Kolhapur, near the Suk area. It's a huge place with lots of trees and old stone buildings that have been around for quite a while. We spend our days here dealing with all the admin work that comes with such a big institution. There are students everywhere, especially near the main gates and the canteen where everyone grabs a quick snack between their lectures. You can see the hills from the upper floors of the library on a clear day, which is quite nice when you need a break from looking at papers. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed but it gets very busy during exam season. People come from all over the district to get their certificates and degrees sorted out. We have these long hallways that always seem to have a bit of a breeze blowing through them. It’s not a fancy modern setup with glass walls, it’s more traditional and grounded. We try to help everyone who walks through the door, even when the computers are being a bit slow. The weather in Kolhapur can get really hot, so the shade under the big trees on campus is where most people end up. It’s just a regular part of life for us here, keeping the wheels turning for thousands of students every year. There's a lot of history in the bricks here and you feel it every day you walk in.
