Shardabhai Pawar Mahila College

Shardabhai Pawar Mahila College is right in the Main City of Baramati, Maharashtra 413115. Being a women's college, there’s a certain atmosphere of safety and focus here. Baramati is a well-developed town, but it still has that local Maharashtra feel. The college is a big part of the daily life for many families around here. You can see the students arriving in groups, often on scooters or walking together. The building is quite spacious with wide corridors where the wind blows through. We spend a lot of time organizing the library and making sure the labs are ready for the next group. It’s not a flashy place, but it’s kept very clean. The staff usually brings their own tiffins and we eat together in the small break room. You can hear the sounds of the city outside, but once you’re inside the gates, it’s much calmer. We have some nice garden patches that we try to keep green, which isn't always easy during the hotter months. The office is always full of stacks of paper and the sound of the printer going. It’s a very busy place, but in a quiet, methodical way. We’ve had generations of women from the same families come through these doors. It’s just a normal part of the city, a place where people come to do their bit and then head home to their families in the evening.
