Shanti Traders

Shanti Traders is our shop at Nana Peth 1349. We’ve been here for many years, right in the heart of the market area. Nana Peth is always crowded and noisy, but that’s where the energy is. We trade in various goods, mostly things people need for their own businesses or homes. Our shelves are usually packed to the ceiling. It might look a bit messy to an outsider, but we know exactly where everything is kept. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s just a practical space where we can talk to our customers and get them what they need. We aren't big on technology; we still do a lot of things the old-fashioned way. It keeps things simple and we don't have to worry about computers crashing. We are just local people serving other local people. We have a lot of regulars who stop by just to say hello or have a quick chat. That’s the best part of being in Nana Peth. We aren't looking to become some huge chain. We like our one spot at 1349 and the people we see every day. It’s a steady life and we are happy with it. We just open up, do our trades, and close when the sun goes down. It is honest work. We spend a lot of time sweeping the front and rearranging the stock to make more room. It never ends, but that’s what keeps us going. It’s just how things are done here in our part of town. We stay grounded.
