Our company, Shakumbharadevi Green Energy And Fertilizers, is based in Malwadi. That’s near Dehu in the Haveli taluka of Pune. We are located at number 420. It’s a practical location because it’s close enough to the city but still near the farms we serve. We deal with fertilizers and energy products that farmers need for their work. The office is a busy place, usually filled with the smell of the warehouse nearby. It’s a bit dusty and the windows always need a cleaning, but we are too busy to notice. We aren't a polished corporate firm. We are just people who understand what it takes to grow things. We spend a lot of time on the phone with distributors and checking our stock levels. Sometimes the trucks get stuck in the Pune traffic, which throws our whole schedule off. We just deal with it as it comes. There’s no big mission statement on the wall. We just focus on getting the right products to the right people at the right time. Our desks are covered in notebooks and empty tea cups. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is. We started this because we wanted to provide something useful for the local agricultural community. It’s hard work, but we like being part of the process.
