Sankalp Traders

Our shop is at 389 Lonikand on the Nagar Road. It’s right opposite the IBP petrol pump, so we see a lot of trucks and tankers pulling in and out all day. Sankalp Traders is basically a large shed and a small office area where we keep the books. Being on the highway means it gets very dusty and loud with all the heavy traffic heading out of the city. We deal with various goods and supplies, so there’s always something being loaded or unloaded from a tempo. The floor is concrete and usually has some scuff marks from the crates. It’s hot in the afternoons, and the ceiling fan just moves the warm air around, but we’re used to it. We’ve been at this Lonikand location for several years now. Most of our regulars are people who live nearby or drivers who know we’re across from the pump. We don't have a fancy showroom. Everything is practical and meant for moving stock. The ledger sits on a metal desk that has a few dents in it. Sometimes we close up for a bit in the afternoon if it’s really quiet. It’s just me and a couple of helpers who handle the heavy lifting. We don’t do much fancy talk here. People come in, ask for what they need, we check the stock, and they go. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living on the edge of the city.
