Sangit Kala Prabhodhani

Sangit Kala Prabhodhani is located over in Warje at 16/1/18. It’s a fairly simple spot where we focus on music and the arts. The neighborhood is usually quite lively, and you can often hear the sounds of the city coming through the doors. We don’t have any big stages or fancy equipment here. It’s just a space with some rugs on the floor and a few instruments leaning against the walls. We spend our time teaching and practicing, mostly with local folks from around the Warje area. Some days the place is full of students, and other days it’s just one or two of us sitting quietly. The building is an older one, so it has its quirks, like the door that sticks in the rainy season. We don't really follow a strict corporate schedule; things happen when they happen. We’ve been at this address for a while and have become a small part of the local community. People know they can find us here if they want to learn something new. We keep the place tidy, but it definitely looks lived-in. There are old photos on the wall from past events and gatherings. It’s a place where we just be ourselves and focus on the art. We don’t put on any airs or try to impress anyone. Sangit Kala Prabhodhani is just what it is—a local spot for people who care about music and want to practice together.
