Samekasha Super Shoppee

Down in Indapur, we have the Samekasha Super Shoppee. It’s a basic shop where we keep the essentials. We try to stock what the local families need so they don’t have to go too far. The aisles are a bit narrow because we try to fit as much as we can on the shelves. Sometimes the kids from the school nearby come in for snacks and it gets a bit noisy for a few minutes. We keep the fridge near the back for the cold drinks. It hums a bit loud, but it keeps things cool enough. We spend a lot of time checking the dates on the packages and making sure everything is where it should be. It’s just a small team of us here. We take turns at the counter and helping people find stuff. The floor is tile and it’s a bit cracked in the corner, but it’s clean enough. Indapur is a quiet place for the most part, and we like it that way. We aren't trying to be the biggest store around, just a place where you can get your groceries without any fuss. We know most of our customers by their first names. It makes the day go by faster when you can have a real conversation with the people who come in. We close up around eight usually. Sometimes we stay open a bit later if someone comes in right at the end. It's just a regular local shop for the neighborhood and we’re happy with that.
