Sameer Chicken Eggs

Our place is tucked away near the Sangavi Kanifnath Mandir. If you are driving down NDA Road, you’ll see the Om Sai Petrol Pump, and we are right around there in the Kate Wasti area. Pimple Saudagar has become such a crowded place lately, but this corner still feels like the old neighborhood. Sameer Chicken Eggs is a simple operation. We deal with crates of eggs and the chicken side of things all day long. The shop is right on the ground level, so it’s easy for people to pull their bikes up, grab what they need, and head out. We spend a lot of time counting out eggs and making sure nothing is cracked. It’s repetitive work, but someone has to do it. The smell of the petrol pump is always in the air, mixed with the local dust. We have a small stool where we sit when things get quiet, but that doesn't happen often around Kate Wasti. Most of our customers are locals who live in the nearby buildings. They come in for a half dozen eggs or a whole chicken for their dinner. We don’t do any big advertising or anything like that. The shop sign is enough for people to find us. We just keep our heads down and work through the heat. It gets really hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going and just wait for the evening rush. It’s just us doing our thing every day. We don't try to be anything we aren't.
