Recktronic Devices System

The workshop here at Sangam Wadi is usually pretty quiet except for the hum of the testing equipment. We spend our days at Recktronic Devices System looking at circuit boards and various electronic parts that need sorting or fixing. It’s a practical space. There are shelves lined with plastic bins full of resistors, capacitors, and wires that we use for the different systems we put together. I usually get in early to clear off my workbench because it gets cluttered with tools by the end of every afternoon. Being located in Sangam Wadi means we are close to a lot of other small shops, so there is always some noise from the street coming through the windows. We don't have a big reception area or anything fancy. Just some chairs and a table where we look over technical drawings. Sometimes we have to stay late when a specific device isn't working the way it's supposed to. We just troubleshoot until it clicks. It is steady work. We handle a lot of small components that require a steady hand and some patience. Most of the guys here have been doing this for years, so we know where every single screw and wrench is kept. It’s a tight space but we make it work for everything we need to do each day.
