We are located in Unit No 2 of the Electronic Co-Op Industrial Estate. It’s a place where a lot of different electronics businesses are packed together. At Intelux, we mostly focus on assembly and getting circuits right. It’s a lot of sitting under bright lights and looking at small components. The space isn’t very big, so we have to keep everything very organized or it becomes a mess. We’ve got a small crew and most of them have been with us for quite a while. We aren’t some giant corporation with a lobby and a receptionist. When you walk in, you’re pretty much standing in the middle of the work area. We spend our days soldering, testing boards, and packing things into boxes. Sometimes the air conditioning struggles a bit when all the machines are running, but we get through it. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but you have to be careful with it. We don’t really advertise much. Most people who know us just come by the estate. We’ve been in this unit for a long time and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the work comes first. It’s just a regular electronics shop doing its thing day after day. We try to keep our heads down and get the orders finished on time. The parking in the estate is a bit of a nightmare sometimes, but we’ve learned to manage. It is a simple place with no pretenses.
