Ravindra Stone Co.

Ravindra Stone Co. has been operating out of Dapodi for a long time now. We are tucked away near Maruti Milinium, which makes it easy enough for people to find the yard. It gets pretty dusty around here with all the stone being moved and cut, but you get used to it after a while. I remember when we first got this spot at 32-A, it seemed like a lot of space, but now it’s packed with slabs and blocks. We spend our days loading trucks and talking to contractors who need stuff for their latest projects. It is heavy work and it wears you out, but seeing a finished pile of stone ready to go is a good feeling. We don't really do much advertising. Most of our business comes from people just knowing we are here in Dapodi. Sometimes the rain slows things down and makes the yard a muddy mess, which is a real pain. We just deal with it as it comes. The sun gets hot on the stone in the afternoons, so we take our breaks in the shade of the office. It’s a simple way to make a living. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to keep the yard running and make sure the stone gets where it needs to go on time. Every piece of rock is different, and that keeps things interesting enough for us. We just keep our heads down and work through the pile.
