Raj Chicken Centre

We are located right in the middle of the Kothrud Subzi Mandi area, specifically near Vanaz Corner in Gujrat Colony. Being in a vegetable market means it’s always loud and there’s always something going on outside our door. We’ve been operating this chicken centre for quite a while now. Most of our day is spent dealing with suppliers and getting things ready for the local families who come to buy their meat. It’s a very hands-on job and the floor is usually wet from cleaning. We don't have a lot of space, just enough for the counters and the equipment we need to do the work. The morning starts very early here because that’s when the fresh stock arrives. By the time the rest of Gujrat Colony is waking up, we’re already halfway through our morning chores. It’s a bit of a squeeze when the market gets crowded on weekends, but that’s normal for this part of Kothrud. We know a lot of the other stall owners around Burail and the vegetable sellers next door. It’s a tight-knit community in its own way. We don't use any fancy systems, just a notebook for the accounts and our hands for the work. It’s a simple, honest living that keeps us busy from dawn till dusk. We just make sure everything is ready and the shop is clean for the next person who walks in.
