Prerana Foundation

Prerana Foundation is located at N I B M 40, and it is a place where we spend a lot of our time trying to keep things organized. The area around here is usually alright, not as loud as the main city parts, which helps when we are trying to focus on the paperwork. We don’t have a massive team or a huge building, just a simple space where we can meet and talk about what needs to happen next. Most of our days are spent talking to people from the community who drop by to see what we are up to. We have a few tables pushed together and some shelves that are usually overflowing with folders and old records. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know where everything is when we need it. We started this because we saw a need for someone to just be available in the NIBM area, and that is what we do. We aren't trying to be some big, famous organization; we just handle the small things that come our way every day. Sometimes we stay late when there is a lot to catch up on, and other times it is quiet enough to actually hear the birds outside. It is just honest work done by people who live nearby and care about the neighborhood. We don't have a mission statement on the wall, just a calendar and a lot of notes stuck to the door.
