Pragati Stone Depot

Running a stone depot in Karve Nagar means you get used to a lot of dust and heavy lifting. We are located at P No 71/72, S No 19 in the Hingane Home Colony area. The yard is usually full of different kinds of stone and building materials. It is a messy job, but someone has to keep track of what comes in and what goes out on the trucks. The mornings are usually the loudest because that is when the deliveries happen. You can hear the stone clinking together as it gets moved around. We have been in this spot for a good while, and the neighbors in the colony probably know us by the sound of the gates opening. It is a large plot, so there is plenty of room, but it still feels cramped when a big order arrives. We sit in the little office on the side, trying to keep the ledger clean despite the dust. People stop by to look at samples or just to ask about prices for their home projects. We don't spend much time on fancy talk; we just show them what we have in the piles outside. When the sun gets too hot, we take a break under the tin roof with some cold water. It is honest work, and by the end of the day, our boots are always white from the stone shavings.
