P.K. Candle Works

We operate P.K. Candle Works out of the Shriyas Complex on Narhe Road in Dhayari. Our place is in the B-wing on the third floor. It’s right across from Mandar Lodge, which is the easiest way to tell people how to find us. Narayan Peth and the surrounding roads are usually quite congested, so it takes a bit of time to get here. Once you get up to the third floor, you’ll usually smell the wax before you see our door. This isn't a retail shop with glass counters; it’s more of a working space. We have melting pots and molds everywhere. The floor always seems to have a bit of wax on it no matter how much we scrub. We make everything ourselves, so it’s a lot of manual labor. Sometimes we stay late into the night during the festival seasons when everyone wants candles at the same time. It’s a family effort for the most part. The lift in our building can be a bit moody, so we often end up carrying boxes down the stairs ourselves. We don't have a marketing department or anything polished like that. We just focus on making the candles and getting them out to whoever ordered them. It’s a bit messy and hot work, especially in the summer months, but we’ve been doing it for years now. We like the independence of having our own little workshop in this part of town. Every day is about melting, pouring, and packing, and that suits us just fine.
