Choice Of Kerala Hub

Our shop is in Pimpri Lashkar. It’s a small place, but it’s packed from floor to ceiling. We get a lot of stuff sent up from Kerala, like certain types of rice, banana chips, and pickles that you can’t always find around here. The smell of spices is really strong when you first walk in. We have crates stacked up in the aisles, so you have to watch where you step. It’s not the most organized shop, but we know where everything is. People come in looking for a specific brand of coconut oil or tea. We spend a lot of time unpacking boxes and putting things on the shelves. The front door stays open to let some air in, and you can hear the noise from the market outside. We have a small counter where we keep the register and some snacks. Sometimes we get busy and there’s a line out the door, and other times it’s just us sitting on a stool waiting for the next delivery. We talk to the customers a lot, usually about news from back home or how the weather is. It’s a local spot where people come to get their basics. We don't have fancy lights or displays. It’s just a regular store with the things people need. We keep at it every day, even when it’s raining hard outside and the street gets muddy. We try to keep the floors clean, but it is a struggle.
