Patale V B & Son

Raviwar Peth is where we've always been. This shop has been here longer than I have. My father, V.B. Patale, started it with just a few items and a lot of hope. Now, I’m the "son" in the name, and I’m running things with my own boys. Shop No 118 isn't huge. We have to be clever with how we stack things to make it all fit. It’s a local place. We know most of our customers by their first names. We talk about the weather, the local news, and whatever they need for their house or business. We aren't trying to be a supermarket. We like being a small shop where you can actually talk to the person behind the counter. Sometimes we close a little early if there's a family thing, or stay open late if a neighbor is in a bind. It’s just how things are done here in the Peth. We don't have a website or a social media page. If you want to know what we have, you just have to come by and look. The shelves are a bit dusty, and the floor creaks, but it’s a solid place. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but we’re still here doing what we do. It’s about being part of the community, really. We just take things one day at a time.
