Being near a bus stop means there is always a lot of movement outside our door. People are constantly rushing to catch their buses or getting off after a long commute. Sukapur in New Panvel is a growing area, so we see new faces all the time. The clinic itself is quite small, just a shop space that we converted. We have a small waiting area with a few plastic chairs and a desk where we keep the records. The floor is easy to clean, which is good because people bring in a lot of dust from the road. We don't have any big advertisements or flashy lights. There is just a small board with our name on it. It’s mostly local residents from the surrounding apartments who come here. The noise from the traffic on Matheran Road is something we’ve just learned to ignore over time. Sometimes the bus drivers honk their horns right outside and it startles the patients, but that’s just life in Panvel. We open up early in the morning and stay until the last patient is seen in the evening. It’s a simple setup for a local clinic, nothing more and nothing less.
